”The venture business in general is wildly undisciplined about throwing good money after bad. There are so many companies in Silicon Valley that have raised $30 million and done absolutely nothing with it.”
When I am grown up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.
Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to DANCE NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.”
Best restaurant review ever, we’re off to the Nelson Tavern tomorrow :)
20. Mind Control Gaming
Our brains give off little electrical signals, this is how brain scanners monitor brain activity. The latest technology allows the control of a mouse via thought power alone.
It makes sense that entertainment applications for this will appear and one company at CES was showing off a game where two people’s minds are pitted literally against one another. Contestants wear lightweight brain scanners and attempt to move a hovering ball towards the other person. The winner is the person who gets the ball to the other side.
It’s a fascinating idea, and although I was dubious a little - it seemed to rely on level of concentration regardless of what you were thinking about - it drew a large crowd and is sure to be a huge class of products in future. Look for Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony to implement this in years to come.
I had a go myself and failed miserably. Where’s Yoda when you need him.
I want this! Looking forward to the non gaming applications as well.
